The Knot Dallas Market Mixer!

Last week we provided a trio of dessert bars for The Knot magazine's Dallas market mixer party at The Dallas Arboretum. All of our treats had a "Texas farm" bent.

The pie table featured one of our top selling pies, the chocolate bourbon pecan, and a lattice-topped spiced peach (a little throwback to Parker county where I'm from!) We sourced some adorable little to-go pie boxes with peach and blue forks that we think would be perrrrrrfect for a rustic (but oh so modern) wedding favor!

We opted to showcase a sweet little collection of single tiered buttercream cakes and asked bows and arrows to adorn the tops with some lush (and out of this world beautiful) florals. The main cake was a naked spiced carrot.

To round out our Southern theme, we put together a biscuit bar with buttermilk and bacon biscuits - a fun way to show off a Southern tradition. We put together individual biscuit boxes for guests that included local honey and fresh berry jam for spreading. There's just something about getting your own little treat box - the presentation is lovely, but its all the thoughtful small details that bring a sense of charm and occasion to an event.

We had a blast mixing with everyone in attendance. And Gil's Elegant Catering is beyond yummy.
