We love to push our creativity by collaborating with talented friends
on themed photo shoots. It gives us a chance to tell new stories
through our work, and to be inspired by both new and old. I am thrilled
to share some absolutely stunning images shot entirely in film by
Ryan Ray from a Farm to Table themed shoot. This thoughtfully stylish
aesthetic is close to my heart. I adore stylish farm weddings and
gatherings because they keep the focus simply on natural beauty: wood
grain, fresh air, wildflowers, fresh fruits, cotton frocks...mmm!
Thistle Springs Ranch, a new wedding venue located outside of Cleburne,
TX, could not be a more perfect location for this simple and stunning
affair - shady oaks, wild grasses and beautiful blue Texas thistle dot
the landscape.
We paired seasonal fruits with our
from-scratch, by-hand pastry dough to create an alternative cake table
full of rustic tarts in gorgeous moody shades of burgundy and violets.
We also made flavored butters for a bread and butter bar: spiced
hazelnut, blackberry, and garden thyme. Everything was fantastically
styled by the talented Stefanie Miles of
Lavender Joy Weddings.
So honored to have this shoot featured on
Style Me Pretty, January, 2013.
Totally obsessed with this elaborate bounty as place card locator!
