For Valentine's Day this year we are teaming up with two of our favorite creative collaborators: Bows and Arrows and Blue Eye Brown Eye, to offer Dallas lovers a unique alternative to the traditional Valentine.

Instead of tired red roses, Bows and Arrows is offering fresh stylish florals in two concepts: homespun and glamorous! 

We are offering a playful spin on the chocolate dipped strawberries with assorted boxes (6/pk) of berries dipped in colorful Valrhona chocolates and covered in crazy candies.

We also have miniature boxed buttercream cakes - perfect for a romantic dinner for two - available in two flavors: red velvet and strawberry.

Tart to Table | Style Me Pretty Feature

 

 

 

We love to push our creativity by collaborating with talented friends on themed photo shoots. It gives us a chance to tell new stories through our work, and to be inspired by both new and old. I am thrilled to share some absolutely stunning images shot entirely in film by Ryan Ray from a Farm to Table themed shoot. This thoughtfully stylish aesthetic is close to my heart. I adore stylish farm weddings and gatherings because they keep the focus simply on natural beauty: wood grain, fresh air, wildflowers, fresh fruits, cotton frocks...mmm! Thistle Springs Ranch, a new wedding venue located outside of Cleburne, TX, could not be a more perfect location for this simple and stunning affair - shady oaks, wild grasses and beautiful blue Texas thistle dot the landscape.

We paired seasonal fruits with our from-scratch, by-hand pastry dough to create an alternative cake table full of rustic tarts in gorgeous moody shades of burgundy and violets. We also made flavored butters for a bread and butter bar: spiced hazelnut, blackberry, and garden thyme. Everything was fantastically styled by the talented Stefanie Miles of Lavender Joy Weddings.

Go Naked!

Yesterday we worked with fabulous photography duo (and sweetest married couple) The Qs of Ben Q Photography on a little wedding cake shoot. It was so much fun! We collaborated with Bows and Arrows on the floral styling of the cakes (cuz what goes better with cake than gorgeous blooms?? Nothing, I tell you!) and had the joy of playing with their incredible collection of unique and bold flowers and succulents. I love getting lost in their world; it is such a beautiful place.

Here's a little sneak peek from the shoot of our carrot cake with salted caramel glaze, styled out with rosemary and gorgeous dark blossoms and buds. Perfect for a rustic, yet stylish soiree! Gorgeous photography by Ben Q Photography, as alway!

Sweet Succulents!

My home is filled with succulents and cacti. I adore these little plants! So much so that my husband actually proposed to me in a cacti garden. So of course I get excited when I see succulents and cakes paired together. Today I had the joy of playing around with my pal Alicia at her shop, Bows and Arrows, to adorn one of my tiny little (4") buttercream cakes with her beautiful succulent wonders! Happy to share this little image with you. (This is actually a red velvet cake with cream cheese buttercream.)
